We are looking for a Junior Linux System Admin to join us and to help and assist the rapid growth of our client.
Your role will be:
- Assist with building, configuring and deploying physical and virtual servers under the guidance of senior engineers
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, health checks and basic troubleshooting on servers
- Support automation efforts by learning, writing and maintaining simple scripts (Bash, Python, Ansible) for repetitive administrative tasks
- Assist with OS patching, updates, and basic security hardening
- Monitor infrastructure tickets and help triage, escalate, or resolve issues with established deadlines
- Help create, maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures
What we need you to have:
- 1 to 3 years of experience as a Linux Administrator (RHEL, Ubuntu, Rocky or similar), NOC, SOC, helpdesk or technical support experience
- Experience with fundamental networking concepts (IP addressing, DNS, basic troubleshooting)
- Basic understanding of users, permissions, services, logs, disk usage and package updates
- Eagerness to learn and grow technical skills in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of security and compliance concepts
You will have an advantage if you have:
- Understanding and/or experience in virtual machines and containerization concepts
- Exposure to scripting languages such as Python or Bash
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms (Proxmox, Vmware or similar)
- Linux certification, CompTIA A+, or equivalent technical coursework/experience
